The new car market offers a very wide range of electric vehicles that, thanks to the Plan Moves III, cost less because of the subsidies that Spain allows by reducing the purchase price by at least 7,000 euros for individuals and the self-employed who purchase a 100% vehicle electric.
But what is Plan Moves III? The Minister for the Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera presented the keys to this new incentive program for the purchase of electric vehicles, hydrogen and plug-in hybrids.
The endowment is four times that of the previous MOVES II (of 100 million euros) in addition to being able to expand up to 800 million euros and open to more years: 2023.
It is no secret to anyone that electric cars with their high prices are difficult to acquire for the majority of the population. Spain, together with Germany, applies policies that encourage its citizens to take advantage of subsidies.

The final savings of the consumer is considerable added to the contribution of the brands (1,000 euros minimum) and the discounts and promotional campaigns, many electric vehicles now cost practically the same (if not less) than their petrol or diesel equivalents.
Although the MOVES plan will promote electromobility in general, its two main axes will be incentives for the purchase and expansion of charging points, in order to have a powerful infrastructure that makes electric vehicles more viable in Spain.
The current 7,700 charging points will increase to 100,000 in just two years in 2023.

- Dacia Spring (9,548 euros) 44 hp – 230 km of autonomy
- Seat Mii electric (10,750 euros) 83 hp – 260 km
- Renault Twingo Electric (14,900 euros) 82 hp – 190 km
- Electric Fiat 500 (17,900 euros) 95 hp – 180 km
- Renault Zoe (20,700 euros) 110 hp – 313 km
