Extreme E organizers continue to close deals to bring the series to the widest possible audience. The tournament announced that the Climate Changers magazine program has been selected by the UAE’s flag carrier, Etihad Airways, for in-flight entertainment.
The airline’s E-Box service offers passengers hundreds of hours of audio and video content via touch screen technology. The wireless system allows passengers to stream premium TV shows, movies, music and more directly to their phones, tablets or laptops while traveling.
This exclusive programming offers behind-the-scenes access to the making and progression of the motorsports series. The content brings viewers from the start of the championship to the racing action, the people and brains behind it, plus the stories of climate change, science, exploration and passion surrounding the series.

This partnership will also help Extreme E reach a wide variety of people, both motorsport fans and non-motor sport aficionados, to raise awareness and motivate action to make a positive impact on the climate.

“As one of the world’s youngest and most respected airlines, we are delighted that Etihad has chosen one of Extreme E’s magazine programs for their prestigious IFE package,” said Ali Russell, Extreme E’s Marketing Director.
“Our purpose-driven sports championship has many fascinating stories to tell, from the creation of the incredible ODYSSEY 21 race car to the life on our ocean-going centerpiece, the St. Helena,” he added.
Russell believes these programs will add a lot of additional depth to the championship and broaden the conversation outside of the racing itself. “I’m sure this will entertain the demanding Etihad traveler. The vast amount of behind-the-scenes content from Extreme E, including fascinating people, technology, science and legacy initiatives, makes for compelling viewing not only for motorsport enthusiasts but for anyone with a sense of adventure and care for the environment,” he finished.
