Formula E celebrates its vision of accelerating sustainable progress through the power of electric racing and now it will do so too with a new campaign called “Change. Accelerated. “
The film is created by Uncommon Creative Studio and was inspired by the fact that the electric series takes place on the streets of cities around the world.
The film, which was shot in Mexico, is narrated by a recording by the late science fiction writer and futurist Sir Arthur C Clarke, author of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Clarke’s speech on envisioning the future was captured by the BBC at the New York World’s Fair in 1964.
The work, directed by Marcus Söderlund through the Academy production company, is captured from the perspective of a Formula E car watching as spectators line the streets to witness the event.

A ghost camera mounted on a high-speed tracking vehicle, precisely on a Porsche Cayenne, shoots 1000 frames per second to record every detail in the shot on a gyroscope traveling at close to 80 mph.
“Change. Accelerated.” aims to excite next-generation sports fans by combining exciting action with its role for positive change around the world. The new work also marks Formula E’s first season as an official FIA World Championship.
“‘Change. Accelerated.’ is a message that pushes us both to embrace change and to accelerate towards it. Everything Formula E does aims to showcase how we are leading the way in sport, on and off the track. We’re so excited to share this film created with Uncommon, which captures our ambition, spirit and the thrilling nature of electric street racing perfectly,”said Henry Chilcott, Formula E Brand Director.
The current season includes races in cities such as Rome, New York and London.
The film will be broadcast through multiple media touchpoints, including television, digital, social and streaming channels in the UK, Germany, the US and other global markets. The work will continue to air for the remainder of Season 7.
