With little steps the sport begins to defeat the pandemic, and there are already several scenarios that have the return of fans to the venues of the different categories.
Motorsports and, specifically, the PURE ETCR AND the WTCR, will not be the exception since both series have already been approved to host public in each of the venues.
The organization of the electric touring car competition reported that they will allow a limited number of 6,400 fans at the event to be held at MotorLand Aragón from July 10 to 11.

The approval by the local Safety Board is part of the staggered return of spectators to international sporting events, and will be in accordance with a comprehensive protocol, which has been developed to take into account the characteristics and facilities of the circuit to guarantee the health and safety of all attendees.
This represents great news for the sport, with the ingredient that in addition to witnessing the great show that the PURE ETCR will bring, fans will be able to enjoy the two Spanish rounds of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup by Eurosport Events, the same promoter behind PURE ETCR.
Broad support and commitment from the authorities
The Security Board that makes up all the logistics of the competitions is chaired by the Government Subdelegate in Teruel, José Ramón Morro, Pilar Molinero, the Councilor of Motorland Aragón, the Managing Director of MotorLand Aragón, Santiago Abad, and the Territorial Delegate of the Government of Aragon, Benito Ros.
Also represented were the heads of the Civil Guard, National Police Corps and Red Cross, as well as representatives of the Government of Aragon, Alcañiz City Council, Teruel County Council and the Bajo Aragón Region.
Mikel Azcona, one of the most prominent drivers driven by the CUPRA team, who competes in both PURE ETCR and WTCR, stated “it’s really good because I’ve received a lot of messages from my fans on social media asking if they will be allowed to come to Aragon.
