Motor and speed lovers know that Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the best events in the world where great models from different manufacturers are exhibited. The 2021 edition, however, has been highlighted by the new area introduced for sustainable mobility and environmental preservation.
It is called ‘”Electric Avenue – The Road To 2030″, as one of Great Britain’s major objectives for 2030 is to eradicate gasoline and diesel vehicle sales by 100%. Therefore, the initiative was created for all people interested to know first hand and with experts everything related to “green mobility”.
This prestigious event was celebrated from July 8 to 11, highlighted by this new segment dedicated to electric speed. There, anyone curious about this sector in the automotive world could ask questions to experts at the event, as well as learning about all the benefits of this necessary change.

“Welcome to Electric Avenue – The Road To 2030”
The Goodwood Festival of Speed managed to captivate the audience after showing a number of vehicles with great performances and aesthetically, highlighting utilitarian, compact, sedans, SUVs, sports cars and hyper sports cars, placing its section between Future Lab presented by bp and First Glance Paddock.
Electric models from renowned manufacturers such as Rimac, Tesla, Fiat, Ford, Citroën, Audi and Kia made a statement after revealing all the features, specifications and advantages of choosing an electric car to take home.
“As we move ahead and accelerate towards an emission-free transport future, I am delighted to see this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed showcase some of the latest electric vehicle models on the new Electric Avenue,” said Rachel Maclean, UK Transport Minister.

On the other hand, the Duke of Richmond was delighted by Goodwood Festival of Speed’s inclusion of a green ecosystem, stating that they are getting closer than ever in the future of mobility by joining forces with Sky Zero to make the “Electric Avenue” a reality.
