In business there is a saying: ‘innovate to grow and advance’. General Motors (GM) seems to adhere to it after deciding to acquire 25% of Pure Watercraft, a company dedicated to the manufacture of ship electric motors.
GM is dedicated to cars, trucks and vehicle engines, therefore, seeing this move into a similar but totally new landscape reflects its efforts to innovate and extend market connections to embrace new customers, adopting a sustainable and futuristic vision in multiple senses.
“…Building on GM’s existing efforts to strategically deploy our technology in the rail, trucking and aerospace industries, the combined expertise of these two companies should result into future zero-emission marine offerings, giving consumers more choices than ever before,” says Dan Nicholson, GM’s VP of Electrification, Controls, Programs and Global Electronics.
