Tesla is working on multiple aspects of electric mobility with the goal of being a pioneer, from small, medium, large cars, trucks and charging infrastructure. Now, one of the sections that has attracted attention are the company’s so-called “autonomous robotaxis”, which already have a date of arrival on the market.
Another project by Elon Musk is Starlink, the high-speed satellite internet that plans to bring to the Amazon. Precisely, he was visiting Brazil to talk about it, where one of the questions he was asked was about the company’s autonomous driving technology, to which he responded positively stating that by May, “robotaxis will be a reality”.
Now, what is the difference between an autonomous vehicle and Tesla’s trademark. Calling it a “robotaxi” will make the car as autonomous as possible, i.e. with level 5 driving. For several years, Musk has announced such cars, it was even thought that they would arrive in 2024, but clearly the Tesla CEO’s statements change the whole picture in a positive way.

One of the challenges in bringing quality autonomous vehicles to the sustainable mobility market for Tesla, Musk says, will be based on solving real-world artificial intelligence, which no one else has solved.
“The whole road system is made for neural networks and biological eyes. So really, to solve driving, we have to solve neural networks and cameras, and I think we’ll get there this year,” the Tesla CEO commented when revealing the original news of autonomous cabs.
About Tesla
Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers who wanted to prove that electric vehicles can be better, faster and more fun to drive than gasoline-powered cars. Today, the company not only makes electrified models, but also infinitely scalable clean energy generation and storage products.
