Half a century of life has been enough for him to know, and try to make the world see, that one of the best ways to preserve the planet is through sustainable mobility. But it has not done so from traditional campaigns or donations, and is that the Spanish businessman, Alejandro Agag, has tried to promote ecology through his greatest passion: car racing.
For much of his life, Alejandro was linked to politics, however, since 2001 he left it to dedicate himself purely to business, with a weakness towards sports. In fact, in 2007 he became one of the owners of the English football team Queens Park Rangers, currently a member of the second division of England.

Nevertheless in 2012, what could be considered his greatest achievement in mobility emerged: Formula E. Electric vehicles became his passion, and by collaborating in the creation of this competition, Agag set a new auto racing era.
The Extreme E, a new race in 100% electric off-road vehicles, is set to occupy second place on the Spanish businessman’s list of achievements. Its start is scheduled for March 2021 in the complex Al-Ula grounds, and Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have registered their respective teams; a fact that confirms the greatness of Agag’s projects.
Electricity and water
“UIM E1 World Electric Powerboat Series” is the name of the innovative hybrid boat race, and it is one of Alejandro Agag’s new bets, but now setting sail to the waters of some of the most glamorous and striking cities in the world. Although a calendar has not yet been confirmed, it is expected that in the coming months this competition will achieve the same fame of Formula E.
Races with no drivers?
10 teams, an autonomous electric vehicle and an Artificial Intelligence system that each team must develop, have led to the Roborace. And Alejandro has tried to be one step ahead of the future, and in the company of other partners he is fine-tuning the last details for this new type of races.
The Roborace will not only function as a new racing mode, it will also be a study center for the development of autonomous cars.
The “future” of mobility is just around the corner, and with no doubt, Alejandro Agag will be one of the protagonists.
