As days go by for the season 7 final weekend in Berlin, the Formula E teams have announced the drivers who will be participating in the next campaign.
That is the case of Porsche, a team that has ratified its current lineup consisting of Andre Lotterer and Pascal Wehrlein, for the season prior to the new car era, dubbed Gen3.
“Despite some remarkable achievements this season, we have yet to achieve all of our goals. That makes me even happier that Porsche is giving me the opportunity to contribute to the team’s development beyond the current season,” was Lotterer’s words after his confirmation.
Wehrlein said he is feeling very comfortable and at ease with the German team. He highlighted: “We achieved a lot in our first season together, and we have firmly established ourselves in Formula E. I am very happy to be able a part of the Formula E team. I am very happy to be part of this great team in the future”.

With Possibilities and for the Feat
The German duo are mathematically likely to take the Championship, although only a “scandal” would allow one of them to take the title, as Wehrlein is 11th with 71 points (24 points off the lead), while Lottererer is in 17th place with 45 points.
But despite the wide gap to the first place, both have made a good season, a work reflected on the Teams Championship, as Porsche has scored at 11 of the 13 races completed, totaling 116 points, placing 8th in the standings.
It is expected that Porsche, apart from going with a strategy which allows a victory of one of their drivers, will surely bet on getting as many points as possible to stay at the top of the standings.
