A few days before the final round of the Moto E World Cup, sponsored by Enel, the competitors are not only warming up their electric motors, but are also beginning to talk about the decisive stage.
This is the case of Dominique Aegerter, who after his third place in Austria proved that he is among candidates to win the title for the third season of the Championship.
The Swiss rider showed a very good feeling at the Spielberg circuit and says he is preparing a strategy for the end of the tournament, scheduled for the weekend of September 18 and 19 in Misano.
Inspiration on the final sprint
The Intac GP rider had a great comeback in the last race. After a rainy start that placed him eighth, he gradually overtook rivals to reach the podium.
“We immediately switched to slick tires before the start, it was the right choice,” Aegerter told Motorsport, who incidentally was due to ride that same date in World Supersport, a division he is very close to starting, but due to contractual arrangements gave priority to MotoE.

Last weekend, the rider mastered again in Supersport, at an eventful race in Magny-Cours, France, where he ran away solo and virtually sealed the series crown.
“The bike feels really good and I am very strong in the braking zone. In the end, I’m happy to finish third ahead of Alessandro Zaccone and Jordi Torres, which gives me confidence for the final,” he added.
“Overall, we are still in fourth position on the riders’ standings, but only 11 points behind the leaders, things are still wide open going into the final race in Misano,” the Swiss noted.
Alessandro Zaccone holds the lead on a nail-biting leaderboard that features Eric Granado, Jordi Torres, Lukas Tulovic and Aegerter, among other possible winners.
