Dodge announced that its next Charger and Challenger vehicles would be electric. The Stellantis Group firm is sticking to the sustainability steps that the automotive market has been taking for several years. While the industry’s shift towards electric cars is totally positive, the only “disadvantage” of no longer using gasoline is losing the beautiful sound emitted by combustion engines, one of the most pleasant melodies that car lovers can experience.
However, it is again stressed that it is necessary for the planet in order to reverse the consequences of climate change, although the market manufacturers know firsthand that the sound is one of the main attractions that can make or break a purchase.
Precisely, this factor is combined with the need to provide a loud sound to electrified cars, because beyond aesthetics, it has become an obligation, since driving without emitting an audible signal increases the risk of an accident.
Therefore, Dodge has taken advantage of this rule to include a quite attractive engine sound in the new electric Charger Daytona SRT, a car that looks amazing and fully equipped with technology to satisfy lovers of the brand.

The Electric Motor Sound
Dodge‘s press release included a video to explain in detail the technological and mechanical functions of the electric Charger Daytona SRT.
From 1:53 to 1:56 minutes, the sound that has been added to the car’s functionality can be clearly heard. Of course, it will not be like the one emitted by a fossil fuel-powered engine, but it is certainly close enough to the original tune.
Finally, the vehicle will begin a new era of the Charger after adopting electrification as a mainstay, so both Dodge and the Stellantis Group expect it to be well received by the brand’s enthusiasts despite the significant.
