It has been trendy for some time now to bring back to life vehicle models that were once landmarks but disappeared over time. However, due to creativity of some automakers and car modifiers, a few classics will be brought back in a 100% electric form.
A great model such as the Ford GT40 will be back on the streets through Everrati and Superformance, companies dedicated to vehicle restoration, both of which will use all their inventiveness to produce a vehicle that gives off a racing feel on a sustainable basis.
Everrati already has experience when it comes to electrifying cars, as he was in charge of turning the legendary Porsche 911 (964) into a green vehicle, plus other restorations such as Land Rover Series II or Mercedes SL Pagoda. Therefore, the company has teamed up with Superformance, also known for all the experience gained on new Ford GT40 models.

Ford GT40 Electric Details
The manufacturers announced jointly that they are already working to turn the all-electric Ford GT40 into a reality, unveiling a series of images that revealed the identical resemblance to the vehicle that made its mark in the 60s as a racing and speed car.
The manufacturers’ official statement guarantees the car will have first-class electric power and a battery system exclusively designed to fit the GT40, so they will certainly be very careful when locating the powertrain and power supply parts in order to avoid influencing an uneven weight distribution that could affect its performance.
At the moment, no further details are available. However, there is no doubt it will be a quality job given the excellent track record of the manufacturers. For example, the Everrati-electrified Porsche 911 (964) has a 507 horsepower and 500 Nm of maximum torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds with a total range of 241 kilometers.
Finally, Ford GT40 will become one of the many classic models receiving a green mobility touch along with the Hummer EV, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Renault 5 Turbo.
