From internal combustion to electrification. That is the step that automakers plan to take in the automotive market by 2050. Of course, little by little since changing an operating system is not that easy, but there is no doubt that this will be the industry’s path over the next few years.
However, Polestar has a slight advantage: since its inception it has produced electrified cars, so its operation already has the necessary standards to automatically adapt to this change. Now, after the Polestar 2 will come its successor, which generates great expectations due to its 540 horsepower.
The Polestar 3 has been labeled as the company’s attempt to redefine the “SUV of the electric era”, configured to offer an experience beyond driving, in addition to demonstrating that power is not only derived from fossil fuels, but also electric powertrains stand out in that sense.

A New Polestar on the Way
The car will be officially presented next October 12, 2022 in Copenhagen, Denmark, giving entry to the Swedish brand’s new SUV that has been assembled on a new all-electric technology base developed and shared with Volvo Cars, where the technological elements will stand out as the company claims.
Mechanically it will be capable of developing 380 kW (510 hp) along with a maximum torque of 910 Nm provided it equips the optional Performance Pack, which adds Polestar’s signature Swedish gold details on valve covers, seat belts and a laser-etched interior light strip.
“The car is this instant ability to transform from a comfortable cruiser to a crisp, agile performance car in the blink of an eye, making the Polestar 3 special as an electric performance SUV,” says Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.
