Formula E reached an agreement with Unicef to help the neediest children and, at the same time, mitigate the effect of climate change, as announced by the electric car competition itself in a statement.
The agreement was signed in the middle of the dispute for the E-Prix in Rome, the second stop on the calendar after the competition began on February 26 and 27 in Diriyah (Saudi Arabia).

Formula E will support the Unicef Fund for a Safe and Healthy Environment, created to carry out environmental programs and political actions for the benefit of children and young people around the world.
The competition, organized by the International Automobile Federation (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, FIA), was founded in 2012 by the Spanish Alejandro Agag. The cars that compete in it are fully electric, and it serves as a laboratory of innovations in a framework that combines technology and sport.
For its part, Unicef is the United Nations Children’s Fund. Its work is governed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and its objective is to make the rights of children and adolescents a reality in the world.
